Parenting in KFL&A
Newborn baby yawning
Welcome to Parenting in KFL&A!
Being a parent can be exciting, and often overwhelming. KFL&A Public Health can help you during this journey by sharing information about local resources and taking care of your baby and yourself.

How often will I receive an e-mail? We will send you weekly e-mails for the first few months as there is lots to share with parents of a newborn! As your baby grows older, we’ll send e-mails less often.

What if I signed up for e-mails when my baby is older? If you’re signing up for the program later and have an older baby or child, we’ll start sending you e-mails based on your child’s age.
View all e-mails
What will the e-mails be about? Each e-mail will answer the questions you may have based on your child’s age. You can expect to learn about:
  • Your child's milestones
  • Recommended times to book appointments
  • Parenting
  • Nutrition information
  • Tips to take care of yourself
  • Fun and helpful links to KFL&A family resources

Who wrote the e-mails? Each e-mail has been written by health professionals at KFL&A Public Health, including registered nurses, lactation consultants, and registered dietitians. We have worked together to highlight health information that you and your family can trust.
